Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors boasts record year

Ruhl Ruhl Realtors set both sales and revenue records in 2013.

In a news release, Caroline Ruhl, president of the Davenport-based company, credited the company’s agents with having the highest productivity per agent in the region.

Ruhl Ruhl agents closed an average of 18.7 transactions per agent. The National Association of Realtors reports an average of seven sales per agent nationally, she said. 

The company celebrated the year’s results at an awards event held Friday at the Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center, Bettendorf.

Among the successes celebrated were: 

Record number of properties sold in 2013 with 5,374. That is 4 percent higher than in 2012. The 2012 transactions were 24.5 percent higher than 2011.

Sales volume for 2013 totaled $806,347,735, down slightly from 2012’s sales volume of $807,533,527. The volume for 2012 was 36.2 percent over 2011.

NAI Ruhl Commercial Company, a new venture between Ruhl Ruhl Realtors and John Ruhl, sold more than $138 million in commercial real estate in 2013 with 49.3 percent market share in the region.

The company’s revenue for 2013, which in real estate is primarily gross commission income, was a record $24,156,181, up 2.6 percent over 2012 gross commission income. In 2012, gross commission income was 34.2 percent more than in 2011.

Ruhl Mortgage, formerly Shelter Mortgage, closed $120,891,880 in loan volume in 2013.

Ruhl Ruhl agents sold 333 new construction homes or condos in 2013, three fewer than in 2012 but up significantly from the 243 sales in 2011. The average sales price was $321,326, up from $313,163 resulting in higher sales volume of $107,001,594.

Ruhl agent referrals resulted in 722 insurance policies being sold by Nelson Brothers Agency, a RuhlRuhl-affiliated insurance company.

Ruhl Ruhl ended 2013 with 287 agents, up from 286 in 2012 and 275 in 2011.
